Dr. Y.A. Nazer is a distinguished cardiac surgeon celebrated for pioneering first-time surgeries in India and South India, and for establishing world-class cardiac centres and teaching hospitals across the Middle East and India. He graduated with an MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College, followed by specialisation in general surgery and super specialisation in cardiac surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. His training included advanced techniques at a prestigious program in Sydney, Australia.

From 1989 to 1994, he worked at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology (SCTIMST), where he gained prominence by performing India’s first beating heart surgery. In 1994, he moved to Abu Dhabi to develop a cardiac centre under the U.A.E. Ministry of Health, which became a major cardiac care hub for the region.

Dr. Nazer has achieved several milestones, including cerebral aneurysm repair under circulatory arrest, beating heart surgery without bypass, and the first successful ECMO in an adult in Kerala. He has held teaching positions at institutions like SCTIMST and Gulf Medical College, and has contributed to developing centres of excellence in cardiac care.

His leadership was evident in establishing the cardiac centre at Al-Mafraq Hospital, bringing top surgeons from Australia and North India. He also played a key role in creating the Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences and the Travancore Medicity teaching hospital in Kerala.

Throughout his career, Dr. Nazer has emphasised care for the underprivileged, collaborating with various organisations for philanthropic initiatives. Dr. Raja Mohan Chakrapani is an esteemed physician based in Pittsburgh, USA, who brings a wealth of global experience in both administrative and clinical capacities. He graduated with his MD in General Medicine from Trivandrum Medical College and has worked in public and private practice across several countries, including India, the United Kingdom, and the United States, accumulating invaluable expertise along the way.

Dr. Raja Mohan began his medical career with the Indian Army, where he served as a physician for five years. This experience instilled in him a strong sense of clinical and administrative discipline that paved the way for his future successes. He then worked in the public sector in Trivandrum before joining the NHS in the UK, where he qualified for the MRCP and gained experience in various hospitals.

In 1993, Dr. Raja Mohan transitioned to the United States, where he obtained his MD in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He established a successful private practice in Pittsburgh while also dedicating his time to various public sector hospitals in the area.

Deeply committed to philanthropy, Dr. Raja Mohan is actively involved in initiatives in his hometown of Kerala. Although he has settled permanently in Pittsburgh, he visits India once or twice a year. An avid supporter of community health projects, he has been instrumental in contributing his clinical and administrative expertise to the development of a state-of-the-art hospital in Kerala.

Dr. Nazeema Nazer is one of the leading dermatologists in Kerala, renowned for her decades of experience in the field. She has built a distinguished reputation both locally and internationally. Dr. Nazeema Nazer obtained her medical degree (MBBS) and her MD in Dermatology and Venereology from Trivandrum Medical College, where she also served for several years after graduation.

She then relocated to Abu Dhabi, where she worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Ministry Hospital for 12 years. During her tenure, she ensured that her department adhered to international standards, earning her a strong reputation among the local population in the UAE.

Mr. Shajahan K. is a highly experienced engineer with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering, having graduated from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum. As a member of the Institution of Engineers (India), he began his career at the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC), where he played a pivotal role from 1984 to 2018. During his tenure, he led all major KTDC projects and contributed to significant assignments in the Middle East and Bangladesh.

Upon retiring as Chief Engineer of KTDC, Mr. Shajahan K. continued his involvement in the field by serving as a Senior Resource Person for the Project Appraisal Division at the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). He also worked with Iyer and Mahesh, a leading architectural firm, as a Project Management Consultant, handling notable projects like the Technopark Phase 3 IT infrastructure and the Infosys building. His contributions have left a lasting impact on Kerala’s tourism and infrastructure sectors.
